The journey

A closer look at the route

Morocco's classic overland journey: from the snow-dusted High Atlas to the vast orange dunes of Merzouga, by way of the Valley of Roses, the Skoura palm grove, the dramatic Dadès and Todra Gorges, and mudbrick ksour villages that look unchanged in a century. It's the fastest way to see the full range of Morocco's landscapes in a single trip.

Tours run 3 to 10 days, mixing short treks with private transport between stages — roughly 4–6 hours of activity a day. Every route ends the same way: a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sky turns orange, dinner around the fire, and a night's sleep under a sky thick with stars at our desert camp.
